Snider Plaza has gone to the Dogs…
Well it’s true, eight dogs inhabit Snider Plaza and their breeds are just as exotic as the stores they contribute to. For starters, Lucy an 8 year old Golden Doodle has been working at Mister Tuxedo since she was 8 weeks old. Her only demand for the chores she does is for an apple to be served at lunchtime. Oh and that is every day!
Down the block, Atelier – Tales of the City has a 7 year old Bedlington Terrier named Roxie “the greeter.” She waits patiently at the front door until each customer arrives so that she may properly invite them in.
Then there is Satchel the 7 year old Dachshund at Craig Lawrence Jewelry; who is appropriately the clock for his business. He chases sun rays in the morning, barks when it is lunch time and sounds the last alarm when it is time to go home. At Unmistakably Molly, Ms. Gracie a 3 year old Maltipoo has decided she is more partial to women customers and children. So don’t be surprised if she barks at you if you are of the male persuasion. However, in her favorite chair next to the cash register she may calm down if you offer her a baby carrot; unless of course if it is 5:00 O’clock cause that’s closing time! Mr. Ranger and Mr. Linny the 12 and 4 year old Golden Retrievers at Standford Court will greet you with a handshake and otherwise are responsible for being cute all day. Occasionally Max the Schnauzer drops by to say hi. Finally, Bentley a 1 year old Australia Shepherd is learning the ropes at Lane Florist. He still lets out an occasional bark at passerbies and he loves to tear up boxes, but he knows the word “cooler” and he will happily go in to help you select flowers.
If you are in the neighborhood and are looking for something to do, why not drop by and meet these furry friends. I am sure they would be happy to see you with or without a bone.
